Mixing spirituality and religion can be an ancient practice. For reasons unknown, it usually is much easier to accept things once they come with the force of religion. Unfortunately, comparing spirituality and religion, is similar to comparing chalk and cheese! Should you look at above quote carefully, you will note just what I am talking about. Spoken about above, religion is belief in another woman’s experiences. No single religion on the planet, have their basis on universal experiences. These were all founded about the experiences as someone, who lived centuries or perhaps millennia ago! When nobody contested the claims, it had been slowly made into a law and finally religion came to be.
Spirituality conversely, is only individual experience based. No a couple are the same nor are their experiences. Hence spirituality could mean various things to be able to people.
Till date, there’s no fixed meaning of amil baba. But one thing is for sure. Spirituality arises from within. Structured have no choice but, explained nor manipulated.
Renowned spiritual leader and yoga guru, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, gave the subsequent explanation when inquired about his opinion on spirituality:
“Spirituality does not mean any particular practice. It is a certain means of being. To have there, there are lots of things to do. This can be being a garden in your own home. When the soil, sunlight or stem of your plant is at in certain manner, it certainly can’t yield flowers, you must do something. You must manage those things. If you decide to cultivate your body, mind, emotions and energies to a certain a higher level maturity, something different blossoms inside you – it is precisely what spirituality is. When your rationale is immature, it doubts everything. As soon as your rationale matures, it sees all things in an entirely different light.”
As quoted by Sadhguru, spirituality can’t be practiced. It’s an experience you decide to go through. Spirituality can be a journey, not just a destination. Because an atheist along with a theist are certainly not different. One believes there is God, another believes there isn’t any God. Are both believing something that they are not aware of.
Spirituality doesn’t have you to have confidence in God. It needs self-belief. Belief in oneself, one’s potential and one’s being, is perhaps all that is required.
Spirituality cannot be taught. You can discover Yoga and religion from your Guru. But spirituality is purely a private experience. It’s a thing that should come for your requirements whenever you align your mind, body and soul.
