There are plenty of different lotions and potions offered to care for your hair and skin today that it’s hard to select the right one. For an outing into the local drugstore, you may be greeted by row after row of shelves filled with various products, all promising to work wonders and make miracles. I do think the one approach to finding out which merchandise is good for you would be to experiment and check out yourself. Among my favourites that I am using for some time now could be argan oil.
Sometimes known as ‘liquid gold’, this is a natural product, purchased from the kernels in the argan tree which is indigenous to Morocco. It is often used as a moisturiser plus products to tend hair. It’s because the reality that the oil includes a high nutrient content which is abundant with fat, anti-oxidants and vitamin e antioxidant that’s vital for healthy hair and skin. It is also renowned to make hair soft, silky and glossy and help make frizzy hair more manageable. Other reported important things about argan oil for hair add the promotion of healthier hair growth, protection against scalp dryness and itching as well as the restoration of dry and damaged hair. As a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it’s utilized as a skin moisturiser that may benefit dermititis especially. It is usually recognized for it’s anti-ageing properties and a lot of advocates of argan oil have stated the way it assists their skin complaints such as acne and eczema. I have tried personally argan aceite to help treat dermititis in my joints plus it did wonders for me personally and left my skin beautifully smooth and soft without having irritation.
Because of it’s benefits, celebrities including Jennifer aniston, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are all users of argan oil to help look after their head of hair and skin. It’s even beginning to appear in mascara formulas because it’s claimed it may help to create your lashes longer plus much more lustrous. My tresses are very dry and contains a wiry texture (it almost is like fine fishing line) and also the oil in it’s pure form helps add moisture and softness to my hair. If you are fortunate enough to have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a fairly crowning glory to incorporate extra gloss and shine.
Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hair-styling products and skincare products containing argan oil is not hard, because of the oil’s rarity they are available at the relatively high price. While i previously mentioned, the oil is taken from the argan tree which can be found in southern Morocco. The traditional technique of extracting the oil ended up being to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack the crooks to reveal the kernels then to crush the crooks to release their oil. The method was done personally and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to make just one single litre of oil! Today the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… therefore, the high price. However, the good news is somewhat oil goes a long way.
The scarcity of the argan tree is where the situation lies. There are plenty of products out there now that incorporate argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. Though if you examine the label, there are often other ingredients (including silicon) in larger quantities than the actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies should work tirelessly to make sure that the supply of argan oil is sustainable as well as a high quality, untainted by other oils or substances.
How do you know you get genuine? Should you be investing in a product containing argan oil – confirm the ingredients. Check for ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it must be high up the components list and ideally, the product should contain as few ingredients as possible. The more substances that the oil is combined with, the less effective the oil is going to be. If you’re buying pure argan oil, ensure it is within a dark coloured bottle because light passing via a clear bottle can break down the oil’s chemical properties. Some items that are marketed as argan oil also include a carrier oil for example olive or sunflower oil. Also be mindful of the cost you are paying. Argan oil doesn’t always have to break the bank but at the same time, this is a rare oil which is labour intensive to create and so isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The most effective argan oil product isn’t necessarily the more costly bear in mind the word, ‘you get what you pay for’.
