Finding myself a relationship for 30 years is difficult for most reasons. Many quite obvious, but a majority of of them no one really likes to admit. So picture this – 30 years means 30 birthdays, 30 Christmases, 30 anniversaries, Valentine’s days etc. And that’s numerous presents I can’t even count. That’s scary. Annually you get older, more desperate for new ideas and, unfortunately, less creative. Pretty soon you already know you have done all this – a handmade photo album, a holiday out of the kids, a fresh bike which has been relaxing in the rear of the garage for many years, and many other pursuits that have either been “accidentally” broken or secretly returned on the store and exchanged for something more important.

So some day, one very dark day, I discovered myself just a month far from one more anniversary.
