1. A: Hawthorne effect. The name emanates from studies of workers in a factory called Hawthorne Works in the early section of the last century. The research found that when workers know they’re being monitored within the experiment, the outcomes in the experiment are usually diverse from those achieved by workers enjoying the same experiment who’re unaware that they are being monitored.
