Classic Colonial Recipes

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Mix the sugar, shortening, egg, salt and nutmeg, you can add the sour cream, baking powder, soda and flour. Stir a combination well. Add some raisins and nuts and drop a combination, a spoonful at a time, on to a greased baking sheet. Bake the brown sugar cookies approximately fourteen minutes and funky them with a wire rack.
