We had arrived first shocked through the Nintendo’s introduction of the Wiimote. Stunned by Sony’s Eyetoy and played some really competitive matches on Kinect Sports. Though what the core gamers want is just your standard controller. We do not need motion controls to experience games; we demand that we have something in your hand with thumbsticks and triggers. There aren’t any Major League Gaming tournaments for Wii Sports, right?
Seeing that I’m at E3 I had to get my hands on a controller in the next-gen of consoles. The 1st I obtained to experience with is the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t a perfect background with controllers- anyone can remember the Duke controller from the original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is much more Xbox then your Duke. First thing you will find would it be looks a little bit bigger than a 360 controller. It’s just an illusion; if something it felt more at ease and snug in my hands compared to the previous one ever did.
It is essential for me they absolutely needed to improve on was the D-Pad. The directional pad about the Xbox 360 console was unresponsive, clunky and simply a mess. About the Xbox One’s version, it’s sleek (inside a good way), fast and yes it is really a delightful click once you apply pressure about the pad. I’m curious to find out how well a fighting game will have with this particular new controller.
Call of Duty and Halo would be the Xbox’s most common games; they’re both shooters so you constantly need to take both analog sticks. So was there a method to improve the already great analog sticks from the 360? It sure is like they did. The analog sticks felt sensational looking sturdy and appeared to be quite accurate. Dare I have faith that video gaming is becoming better the accurate a sense a mouse on the computer?
Another issue I had created together with the Xbox gamepad may be the Xbox Guide button. It’s perfectly located at the top middle part of the controller and you’ll accidentally hit it. Microsoft chose to help it become flat (and thus harder to push unintentionally) and set it towards the top from the controller. It was a brilliant area for the button and i also aren’t seeing many people hitting it in the middle of gameplay.
With the other various upgrades produced from the Xbox 360 system controller, the triggers got love at the same time, with rumble put into each.
