A new 2016 Christmas rock-POP tune has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key purpose of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a unique up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the music over a six week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark wanted the very best outcome and quality. The music is now ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to give to one or every one of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the track.
The other absolute goal is to be able enough downloads of the song to help fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will present free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his music Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day.
